The QA Engineer will ensure that pricing-platform implementations and enhancements are accurate, reliable, secure, and fit for business use. This role will validate pricing calculations, pricing rules, workflow behavior, integrations, user access, data quality, reporting, and end-to-end business processes.
The ideal candidate has QA experience in CPQ, ERP pricing, rebates, order-to-cash, Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP pricing, or comparable commercial systems.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, solution designs, user stories, configuration workbooks, and process flows to identify test scope and acceptance criteria.
- Create and maintain test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability matrices, and test-summary reports.
- Test pricing calculations, price-list logic, discounting, approval workflows, deal management, quote generation, rebates, margin calculations, and pricing-policy controls.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, data-validation, security/access, and user-acceptance testing.
- Validate integrations and data exchanges with ERP, CRM, MDM, e-commerce, BI, and data platforms.
- Reconcile source and target data for products, customers, price lists, contracts, transactions, and pricing outputs.
- Log, prioritize, and track defects; work with developers and functional consultants to validate fixes and conduct regression testing.
- Support UAT planning, UAT test-script development, business-user onboarding, issue triage, and readiness reporting.
- Participate in release, cutover, smoke-testing, and hypercare activities.
- Identify recurring defects or control weaknesses and recommend improvements to test coverage, automation, configuration, or process design.
- Maintain clear test evidence and audit-ready documentation.
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software QA, systems testing, business-process testing, or enterprise-application testing.
- Experience testing pricing, CPQ, ERP, CRM, order-to-cash, rebate, contract-management, or commercial systems.
- Strong understanding of test design, defect lifecycle, regression testing, SIT, UAT, and release testing.
- Ability to write clear and complete test cases using business requirements and technical specifications.
- Experience validating APIs, integration files, JSON/XML payloads, database queries, or data extracts.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data-validation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication, and issue-management skills.
- Ability to work with distributed cross-functional teams in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Direct Pricefx or Vendavo implementation/testing experience.
- Experience testing configurations such as price lists, price grids, formulas, workflows, dashboards, quoting, or rebates.
- Familiarity with pricing calculations, margin analysis, discount controls, and approval policies.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, qTest, Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- API-testing and test-automation experience using Postman, REST Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
Success measures
- Test coverage fully maps to requirements and key business risks.
- Pricing calculations and workflow outcomes are accurately validated before release.
- Defects are identified early, documented clearly, and closed with evidence.
- UAT and go-live proceed with controlled risk and high business confidence.
Engagement details
- Billable from day one: you will join client projects immediately, with no ramp-up period. Pricefx or Vendavo experience is a plus, but you must already be experienced in testing pricing, CPQ, or ERP systems.
- Full project commitment: you will be expected to stay on each client assignment for its full duration.
- Global client delivery: projects are with international clients, so some flexibility to occasionally align with client time zones is expected.
Fluent professional English, written and spoken, as you will work directly with client teams.
