We're hiring an experienced Pricing Platform Developer with hands-on Pricefx or Vendavo development experience to build and support enterprise pricing solutions for global clients. You'll develop pricing logic, calculations, workflows and integrations, whether that's Groovy in Pricefx or Java-based customization in Vendavo, and turn business requirements into working, well-tested solutions. You'll work closely with architects, functional consultants and QA engineers. This role is for someone who can deliver on the platform from day one and wants to stay with each client project through to completion.

The Pricing Platform Developer will configure, customize, integrate, test, and support enterprise pricing solutions. The role combines platform configuration with technical development, including pricing logic, workflows, calculations, user interfaces, data interfaces, APIs, and production support.

This role requires hands-on development experience on Pricefx or Vendavo, including direct configuration and development work such as Pricefx Groovy logic, Vendavo Java-based customization, and REST/JSON integrations.

Key responsibilities

  • Configure and enhance pricing-platform capabilities, including price lists, price guidance, price grids, discount rules, deal workflows, approvals, rebates, quotes, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain pricing calculations, business rules, formulas, validations, and workflow logic.
  • Build and support integrations between the pricing platform and ERP, CRM, MDM, data warehouse, e-commerce, and reporting tools.
  • Work with REST APIs, JSON payloads, integration logs, batch files, and middleware to troubleshoot data and interface issues.
  • Develop reusable components, configuration standards, documentation, and deployment packages.
  • Translate functional specifications and user stories into technical designs and tested configuration.
  • Participate in estimation, sprint planning, backlog grooming, design reviews, and release planning.
  • Execute unit testing and support system integration testing, UAT, defect remediation, and production validation.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, implement fixes, and recommend preventive improvements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including configuration workbooks, data mappings, integration specifications, runbooks, and release notes.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, QA, data teams, and business stakeholders.

Required qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in software development, enterprise application configuration, integration engineering, or CPQ/pricing technology delivery.
  • 2+ years of hands-on development experience on Pricefx or Vendavo (required), including delivery on at least one client implementation.
  • Practical experience with Groovy, JavaScript, Java, Python, SQL, or comparable scripting/development languages.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, error handling, integration monitoring, and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data objects such as products, customers, contracts, price lists, transactions, invoices, and organizational hierarchies.
  • Strong understanding of software-development life cycle, version control, test practices, and production support.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Direct Pricefx experience in price setting, price management, quoting, rebates, optimization, workflows, or dashboards.
  • Pricefx Groovy API experience.
  • Experience with Pricefx Integration Manager, REST APIs, and master-data loading.
  • Vendavo development experience, including Java-based customization, UI/configuration, and integrations.
  • Experience with other pricing platforms such as PROS or Zilliant.
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, and CI/CD practices.

Success measures

  • High-quality configuration and code delivered within sprint commitments.
  • Low defect leakage into UAT and production.
  • Reliable data integrations and timely issue resolution.
  • Reusable components and documentation that reduce future delivery effort.
  • Clear traceability from requirements to technical implementation.

Engagement details

  • Billable from day one: you will join client projects immediately, with no ramp-up period, so you must be able to deliver on Pricefx or Vendavo from the start.
  • Full project commitment: you will be expected to stay on each client assignment for its full duration.
  • Global client delivery: projects are with international clients, so some flexibility to occasionally align with client time zones is expected.
  • Fluent professional English, written and spoken, as you will work directly with client teams.
